TRALEE Chamber Alliance has welcomed the news that Kerry County Council is due to publish a variation of a Business Incentive Programme that the Chamber submitted to the local authority last year.
The list of business incentive proposals was presented to Kerry County Council in a positive move to re-energise efforts to fill vacant properties within Tralee Town and to generate more employment.
Kerry County Council is due to publish a Business Incentive Scheme (BIS) to enhance Tralee Town Centre as a retail destination.
It incorporates some of the suggestions from Tralee Chamber Alliance in relation to the provision of grant support equivalent to a decreasing percentage of the rate paid over three years.
Tralee Chamber Alliance will continue to work with Kerry County Council throughout the six months pilot period of the Scheme in order to ensure there is an uptake by landlords and prospective tenants.
