Wunderbar Oktoberfest event comes to the Rose of Tralee Festival Dome in August!

“WILLKOMMEN to ze Dome” will replace the traditional “Céad Míle Fáilte go dtí an Dome” during this year’s Rose of Tralee when Oktoberfest Tralee, a wunderbar new event, lands at the Festival on Saturday 18th August.

For one night only, festive folk in Tralee – locals and visitors alike – will embrace their inner-German and experience a wunderbar evening to remember at Oktoberfest at the Rose of Tralee.

Daryl Cronin, organiser of Oktoberfest events in Ireland, said: “Tralee is all set to put its own special spin on Munich’s world famous festival. The Dome will be transformed into a mini-Bavaria, complete with amazing beer gardens, huge beer hall serving a range of Oktoberfest beers and delicious traditional Bavarian cuisine including traditional bratwursts, rotisserie chickens, freshly-baked pretzels, gingerbread hearts and much more.”

Oktoberfest in the Dome will host authentic Oompah Brass Bands who will entertain the masses with their toe-tapping, thigh-slapping, oompah entertainment and traditionally-dressed Damen und Herren in Lederhosen will serve the finest Bavarian festive beers and food.

The Managing Director of the Rose of Tralee International Festival, Anthony O’Gara, said: “We are always interested in introducing new ideas to our entertainment line-up, especially in the Dome and we are excited about welcoming the Oktoberfest to Tralee. It will enhance an already superb festival programme by bringing the very best of Bavaria to Tralee. Oktoberfest clearly appeals to a wide audience, such has been the demand for tickets already. The event will provide a chance for our many German visitors to enjoy a feeling of home, while our guests from other parts of the world, corporate groups and locals will also enjoy an alternative cultural and social event in the heart of Tralee Town.”

Tickets and table reservations are on sale now for Oktoberfest Tralee which will take place in the Rose of Tralee Festival Dome on Saturday 18th August.

Doors open at 7pm. This is a ticketed event which is strictly Over 18’s. Ticket holders will get to enjoy a complimentary drink on entry before 9pm. This event is expected to sell out so it is advised to book your tickets and table reservations in advance to avoid disappointment.
