THE skies over Tralee will light up again before anywhere else in Ireland on December 31st when John Drummey Communications and The Streat Café present the New Year’s Eve Fireworks Display, sponsored by Tralee Chamber Alliance.
The rockets will shoot into the sky at 7.20pm sharp at a new venue – Manor Retail and Leisure Park, beside The Playdium and Bowling Buddies.
John Drummey, who has also teamed-up with Rocket Pyrotechnics, said: “Last year’s event attracted around 1000 people to see the Fireworks and the early, family-friendly start time meant that everyone could enjoy ringing in the New Year and still hit the town for later celebrations if they so wished.”
So successful was last year’s event, Tralee made the national newpaper front pages alongside international capital cities such as Sydney, Tokyo and Beijing.
This year’s location is perfectly suited to host an even larger crowd and the fun will get underway at 6pm with music, kiddies merry-go-round, bouncy castles and warm drinks to keep everyone warm on a cold winter’s evening.
The Fireworks viewing site is accessible via foot or car with ample parking at The Playdium and in Manor West Retail Park. Some traffic restrictions will be in place, while pet owners are advised to keep their animals indoors for the short duration of the Fireworks.
“For 365 days of the year, everyone knows that December 31st is coming but it’s the one night of the year that people tend to forget about making plans. Not this time as Mums, Dads, Grannies and Grandads can bring the children from 6.00pm on Tuesday 31st December for a magical hour of entertainment,” said John Drummey.
The New Year’s Fireworks Display in Tralee is presented by John Drummey Communications & The Streat Café and is proudly sponsored by Tralee Chamber Alliance in association with Funzone Pembroke Street and Tralee Rotary Club.
