More success for Mater Private Hospital Cork with three Irish Healthcare Centre Award nominations

MATER Private Hospital Cork has been shortlisted for three National Healthcare Centre Awards which celebrate best practice in the country’s healthcare sector.

The awards showcase the best of Irish healthcare in centres, services, skills, innovation, achievements and medical excellence across the full range of healthcare centres in Ireland.

Mater Private Cork has been nominated in three categories, against very significant competition:

• Healthcare Department Initiative – Emergency Care Department – ‘Opening of our new Emergency Department’, Dr Oisín Powell
• Healthcare Department Initiative – Cost Saving Measure – ‘Introduction to Flex’, Pat Sheehan
• Healthcare Department Initiative – Patient Safety – ‘The Culture of Safety’, Sarah Fouhy

News of the latest nominations came ahead of the Cork Chamber ‘Company of the Year Awards’ on Friday 3^rd February, in which the Mater has been shortlisted in the Large Company category.

The Irish Healthcare Centre Awards will take place in Dun Laoghaire on Friday 10^th March when awards will be are presented to public and private hospitals, primary care centres, nursing homes, mental health centres and home-care services from all over Ireland.
