Senior Citizens encouraged to join Tralee Chamber Alliance

TRALEE Chamber Alliance will place a major emphasis on job creation in a range of sectors as well as plans to boost the memberships of the organisation in 2014.

A series of Breakfast Business Meetings, Trade Workshops and Financial Advice Sessions are planned for the coming months at IT Tralee, Kerry Technology Park and various venues in the town.

A drive is also underway to encourage local businesses, professional and retired individuals in the town who are not already members of Tralee Chamber Alliance, to engage with the organisation in 2014 by joining as a member.

The CEO of Tralee Chamber Alliance, Kieran Ruttledge, said: “Last year was very successful for Tralee and we aim to hit the ground running in 2014. We particularly wish to welcome many of the town’s elder citizens to join the Alliance and add their experience and wisdom to the current mix of talent that already exists. A video will be published in the spring to promote Tralee as a quality all-year destination for Pensioners.”

On the technological front, in partnership with IT Tralee, a Tralee APP will be available to download on Smart Phones and Tablets in the coming weeks. The App will offer locals and visitors an insight into what the town has to offer at the touch of a button.

Following on the success of the Shopping Voucher Booklet, Tralee Chamber Alliance is putting the finishing touches to the new Dining in Tralee Voucher Booklet which will offer tempting tasty treats in a wide range of Tralee hotels, restaurants, pubs and cafés.

Boosting tourism figures in Tralee will remain a major focus for Tralee Chamber Alliance throughout the year with special attention to be given to promoting the town as a base for the Wild Atlantic Way.

“Our primary aim is to help the community believe in what they have and to help attract custom to Tralee,” said Kieran Ruttledge.

The membership fees are very reasonably priced and tailored to suit the businesses of all sizes with an individual membership fee available for people who wish to have an input in the overall effort to make Tralee the premier place to visit and in which to live and work.
