A SELL-OUT crowd is expected at the Brandon Conference Centre, Tralee on Saturday 20th February when five-time world champion boxer Katie Taylor continues her preparations to defend her Olympic title.
The event, which has been organised by Tralee Boxing Club and sponsored by Lee Strand Protein+ Milk will see Katie Taylor take-on former Olympian Queen Underwood of the USA in the headline bout of a 10-fight card.
The evening’s sporting entertainment will be presented in association with local retailers BYRNES SPAR TRALEE, The Kerryman and Tralee Chamber Alliance.
The Chairman of Tralee Boxing Club, Bryan O’Sullivan, said: “Katie Taylor is a living legend not only in sporting circles but in every day Irish life. Her dedication and commitment to reaching the top of her sport and the manner in which she performs both inside and outside the ring is an example to everyone – young and old. We are proud to welcome Katie and her team to Tralee as reigning World and Olympic Champion.”
Tickets will be available to purchase from Byrnes Spar stores in Monavalley, Oakpark and Caherslee on a first come first served basis from 10am Thursday 04th February in addition to being on-sale at Tralee Boxing Club in Monavalley on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings between 5.30pm and 8pm.

SPARRING with Katie is not for the faint hearted.”
A limited number of Ringside Premium tickets costing €30 are available while other tickets are only €20 for adults and €10 for children under 14.
Doors on the night will open at 6.30pm with the first fight to start at 7.30pm and there will be nine fights before the main event, which is proudly sponsored by Lee Strand Protein+ Milk, BYRNES SPAR TRALEE, The Kerryman and Tralee Chamber Alliance.

Tralee Boxing Club was established in the 1930ws and it currently has over 70 members who benefit from the discipline which the training requires. The commitment and dedication required with regard to the training in the boxing club also has a very positive impact on other areas.
