DO you want to go to the All-Ireland Final on Sunday 20th September? Kerry fans in Tralee are being offered a major opportunity to secure a pair of tickets to see Kieran Donaghy, David Moran, Barry-John Keane and Tommy Walsh against the Dubs in Croke Park.
In doing so, these fans will help secure the future of Austin Stack Park Tralee as a major sports venue in the county.
An attractive five year All-Ireland Final ticket-scheme has been created to encourage the business and wider community in Tralee and the north Kerry area to help bring Austin Stack Park into the 21st century.
The capacity of Austin Stack Park on John Joe Sheehy Road, Tralee has already been reduced by 2000 to comply with the Slattery Report, a specially commissioned report on the health and safety of inter-county GAA grounds.
Unless major renovation work is carried out, the capacity will be further irreversibly reduced, resulting in Kerry playing all their home games in Killarney which will have a negative impact on the local economy in Tralee.
In an initiative supported by the clubs in Tralee, representatives of Kerry County Board, Kerry County Council and Tralee Chamber Alliance have teamed-up to encourage local business people and Kerry fans in Tralee to support the redevelopment of a major town asset.
Well known Austin Stacks Chairman Club Chairman and Publican, Aidan O’Connor, said: “I have long stated that Austin Stack Park is badly in need of renovation. Seeing this initiative, I am delighted that all groups have come together to protect the future of one of Tralee’s greatest assets. I, personally, and my club fully support this scheme and ask others to row in behind it.”
Subscribers to the five-year scheme will receive:

- A minimum of TWO FREE TICKETS to three All-Ireland Football Finals involving Kerry is guaranteed, even if this minimum of All-Ireland Finals is not achieved in the period from 2015-2019. FREE TICKET eligibility will be carried forward until such time as Kerry has reached three All-Ireland Finals

The cost of joining the scheme is €1000 per year for five years payable by Direct Debit or in full.
The improvements are estimated to cost between €700,000 and €800,000. Kerry County Board has half these funds and is seeking support from local people in Tralee and the north Kerry catchment area – who predominately utilise the facilities at Austin Stack Park – to raise the other half.
