SOME of County Kerry’s most famous personalities from the world of entertainment, fashion and sport have teamed-up to star in two new videos aimed at instilling pride in their county capital – Tralee.
One video features, among others, internationally acclaimed fashion designer, Don O’Neill, Tralee-native and Hollywood-based actor, Tim Murphy and Kerry football legend Eoin “The Bomber” Liston.
World Champion Irish Dancer and Siamsa Tire Community Cast performer John Fitzgerald is the star of the second video, filmed at a number of Tralee landmarks, in which he mesmerises the viewers with his fancy footwork.

The “Proud of Tralee Campaign” videos will be launched this Monday, 28th October on the Tralee Chamber Alliance Facebook Page and the public are invited to see and share them to a worldwide audience.
The President of Tralee Chamber Alliance, Pádraig McGillicuddy, said: “I’m proud of Tralee because when put our best foot forward, we can show the world that our town is a wonderful place to work, play and visit. We are a tidy town, we are a top tourism town and we are a shopper’s paradise. These two promotional videos, filmed and edited by local videographer Rory Kirby, will foster pride in the town. Let’s showcase Tralee as being one of the Top 10 Tourism Towns in Ireland.”
Don O’Neill gave his endorsement to Tralee from the hustle and bustle of Times Square, New York while Tim Murphy, who recently starred in American TV shows Sons of Anarchy and Criminal Minds, used the Hollywood sign as the backdrop for his message of support for Tralee.
They share centre-stage in the video the Haley O’Sullivan, Rose of Tralee, and Kerry football legend, Eoin “The Bomber” Liston who said that he was “proud to be working and living in Tralee where there is a strong sporting and Gaelic tradition”.
Other well-known local faces and voices in the “Proud of Tralee” video include: Adrienne Heaslip (Siamsa Tíre), Mags O’Sullivan (Aqua Dome), Terry O’Brien (Councillor), Darragh Hurley (student), Carmel Russell (Manager That’s Perfect), Dr George Philip (Consultant Paediatrician, Bon Secours Hospital Tralee), Haley O’Sullivan (Rose of Tralee) and John Drummey (Broadcaster, PR Consultant).
