TRALEE’S ABC Cleaning Services scored another All-Ireland double success for Kerry after winning two top prizes at the Irish Contract Cleaning Association (ICCA) Industry Awards.
The Boherbee-based company, which employs 90 staff, wiped the floor with the opposition when securing the “Best Cleaned Premises by a Small Company Award” in recognition of their work at the Institute of Technology, Tralee.
The Managing Director of ABC Cleaning Services, Máiréad Hurley, won the Supervisor of the Year Award for managing the daily work schedule of the 40 employees who keep the ITT in such an impeccable condition.
Máiréad said: “We were not expecting to win this award but we were delighted with the results considering that it was our first time entering the competition. The success is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all our staff who deserve a big word of thanks. We are grateful to the management and academic staff and all the students over five sites at ITT who make our job so pleasant.”
ABC Cleaning Services was established in 2005 by Breeda Hurley and her husband Seán in 1995 and the family-run business has a reputable list of clients in Kerry and beyond with routine cleaning at the core of their activities.
The success of the company has been built on customer service and a well-organised team which was recognised by the judging panel who were involved in selecting ABC as the winners of the Industry Award.
