TRALEE is currently trailing behind smaller towns in other counties when it comes to developing business networks, generating business and making profits, according to the Chairman of the Kingdom Chapter of Business Network International (BNI), David Moriarty.
BNI is inviting success-driven professionals from all sectors to attend a free open event entitled Build A Better Business in Fels Point Hotel at 5.45pm on Tuesday 24th June.
The Kingdom Chapter of BNI has generated €1.5 million worth of business in Kerry over the past 18 months and with a positive focus, it has plans to double that figure by the end of this year.
Tralee-based Architect and Chairman of the Kingdom Chapter of BNI, David Moriarty, said: “Our primary purpose is to exchange qualified business referrals. The calibre of our members is very strong and each of us is serious about promoting each other to attract new business referrals which is the core principal of BNI. It is the most successful organisation of its type in the world today and so far, the Kingdom Chapter has generated over €1.5million worth of business for our members. We want to share our success with other businesses in the Tralee area and look forward to welcoming like-minded business people from around the county to our upcoming event.”
Ultimately, the money generated from referrals goes straight back into the local economy while the professionals, whether they are plumbers, solicitors, chefs or barbers, benefit from a potentially ever-growing client-base.
David Moriarty expressed concern that local business people tend to work within their own circle of interest rather than examine how being part of a business network could widen their customer reach.
The Kingdom Chapter of BNI covers the greater Tralee and North Kerry area meets each Wednesday morning in the Fels Point Hotel, Tralee and it is made up of a number of local businesses and trades people who support more than 100 jobs locally.
“We are encouraging members of Tralee Chamber Alliance, Listowel Chamber of Commerce and any business people who are interested in learning how to grow their income to join us at the Build A Better Business Evening,” said David Moriarty.
