Bon Secours Hospital, Tralee seeking experienced Consultant General Surgeons
THE expansion programme at the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee is continuing with the recruitment of experienced Consultant General Surgeons to work in one of the top five hospitals in Ireland.
A major employer in Kerry, with over 500 staff and more than 40 Consultants, Bon Secours Hospital Tralee has seen substantial investment since its inception with further development to commence in 2013. Phase-two of a €7 million development is due to commence in the New Year.
Donna Roche, Hospital Manager, said: “Our expanding team, which has seen the arrival of four Consultants since June 2013, encompasses a comprehensive range of clinical specialties and diversity of sub-specialty interests. The people who work at Bon Secours are our strength and we look forward to welcoming applications from Consultants who wish to live and work in one of the most popular locations in the world where the quality of life is second to none. The new Consultants will replace some of our long-serving Surgeons who are due to retire in the near future.”
Following a very successful recruitment campaign towards the end of last year, four new Consultants arrived at the hospital in 2013 to work in a number of areas covering Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Paediatrics and Cardiology.
In June, the Consultants based at the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee reached out to the people of the Midwest Region with the opening of a new Consultation Centre in the heart of Limerick City. The decision to open the Consultation Centre resulted from an increase in the number of people travelling great distances from Limerick, Clare, north Cork and Tipperary for a consultation in Tralee.
The Bon Secours Hospital Tralee is a proud sponsor of the Rose of Tralee International Festival, Healthcare Partner to Kerry GAA and generous supporter of a number of community charity projects.
The hospital in Tralee has been serving the people of County Kerry for over 90 years and during that time it has commanded a well-earned and enviable reputation for offering the highest standards in patient care, delivered with the utmost compassion.
The Bon Secours Hospital is located in the heart of Tralee and is only a five minute walk from the Town Centre and a number of hotels, guesthouses, cafés and restaurants.
Tralee is accessible by road, rail and air and it is the gateway to the Dingle peninsula and the Ring of Kerry and is home to the Rose of Tralee Festival.
