Bon Secours Hospital Limerick Consultation Centre is new Healthcare Partner to Limerick GAA

Footballers and hurlers throughout Limerick will be in safe hands in 2014 after the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee announced that it has become the Healthcare Partner to the GAA in Limerick.

Ireland’s Private Hospital of the Year 2014, the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee recently opened a new Consultation Centre in the heart of Limerick City to serve the medical needs of people in Limerick and the Midwest Region.

The Bon Secours Hospital Limerick Consultation Centre is open daily at Suite 4, Ivernia Hall, 97 Henry Street, Limerick and appointments by referral can be made by calling 061-400700.

The Manager at Bon Secours Hospital Tralee, Donna Roche, said: “The GAA is the lifeblood of every community in Ireland and we are proud to team-up with the Munster Hurling Champions and Limerick County Board. Our expertise and facilities are available whenever the need may arise through injury or to help clubs maintain the level of player-fitness required to compete at the highest level. Our team at the Bon Secours Hospital Consultation Centre Limerick and in the Hospital in Tralee encompass a comprehensive range of clinical specialties and diversity of sub-specialty interests that will meet the needs of Limerick club and inter-county players of the past, present and future.”

Dr James Ryan, Team Doctor to the Limerick Team is a Consultant Endocrinologist at the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee and is the driving force behind the Munster Metabolic Clinic.

A number of hospital Consultants are looking forward to meeting the club officials in the coming weeks in Limerick to outline, in detail, what is on offer and to learn how they can meet the clubs’ needs.
