The Aqua Dome Tralee is celebrating its 20th birthday in 2014.

The following are interesting facts about the Aqua Dome:
- There are 750,000 litres of water in the pool
- There are 384 panes of glass in the dome – 192 panels but they are double glazed
- Flume slide is 90 meters high
- The lazy river is 90 meters long
- Fastest time down the flume slide is 8.96 secs
- 835,000kWh of electricity are used every year
- 200,000 litres of oil were used annually– this has now been changed to gas – no figures to date for this
- Kerry footballers have trained in the Aqua Dome over the years
- The Roses and their families visit every year
- Noel McCord Duty Manager rescued a local dog who had fallen into the outdoor falling rapids pool which made National news in 1994
Famous people who have visited the Aqua Dome
- Des Bishop spent a week working for the minimum wage in the Aqua Dome in 2004 – The Des Bishop Work Experience (2004 TV Mini-Series)
- Catherine Thomas presented the Children’s TV programme Rapid during the late 1990s and filmed a scuba diving experience in the Aqua Dome pool for one of her programmes
- Colin Farrell filmed a scene in the Aqua Dome from Drinking Crude in 1996
