John Drummey Communications is the official PR Company to the Rose of Tralee International Festival since 2008.
Maggie McEldowney, representing Chicago is the 2016 International Rose of Tralee.
RTÉ’s Dáithí Ó Sé announced the result in front of nearly one million television viewers and an audience of 2000 people in the Festival Dome on Tuesday 23rd August.
Maggie, a native of the south-side of the city, is the third Chicago Rose of Tralee following Teresa Kenny in 1960 and Larna Canoy in 1987.
She works as the Director of Development at Marist High School and is passionate about raising money for families who could not otherwise afford Catholic education.
The 2017 Rose of Tralee International Festival will take place in the Kingdom of Kerry from 16-22 August.
